Question about V1 Savvy and OnStar
I know OnStar will not be able to run diagnostics when Savvy is connected to the OBD port, but what about OnStar's location services and disabling the vehicle if it is stolen?
I pretty much decided to do the mirror tap but after test driving the detector around town there were quite a few K band false alerts that my old V1 doesn't even pick up. I know this is why many folks choose Bel but I still prefer the V1. Savvy virtually eliminates V1 false alerts by muting the volume below a specified vehicle speed. Most of these false alerts are in shopping areas or where traffic flows are below 35 MPH. I like the idea, but need to know what OnStar service I would forfeit with Savvy.
