Please help! Engagement ring under passenger seat.
As the title says her ring fell under the seat. We can't find any way to even see the ring do to the lack of movement in that seat. Does anyone know if there are any secrets to moving it up? My worry is is that I will have to take it in to get the seat removed (nightmare... just another thing they can mess up). Also if there is no solution I can do myself what price would ppl guess at it being for them to get under the seat and find it?
Help is much appreciated!!

Ok how about cleaning out a vacuum of all dirt and material then try to get the vacuum to pull it out of its hiding space. All I got, sorry.
Good luck.

My wife dropped her ring under the seat of our Equinox, it fell down through one of the many slits in the carpet. The dealership retrieved it for her after I gave them $150.
If you pull the seat out remember to disconnect the airbag...

I didn't even know there was one until abt 2 seconds ago while looking around. I will not be touching anything in those terms. I'd blow something up by looking at it.... 150 doesn't sound bad tho.

May be the car is trying to tell you something ................. Was she (the g f) on constraint ? Held in Toledo for an excessive period of time ? Wrong RPO options installed ? This could be a subliminal message from the director of Corvette Marketing, Harlen Charles ............................

Shades of Christine (from Stephen King) It appears you and your C7 are now engaged and it may not be willing to give back its ring no matter how you feel about it.
Perhaps a very hard stop will send it forward into view.

Have you slid the seat all the way forward AND tilted the seat back forward? There's quite a bit of access under the seat in this configuration.
Removing the seat if necessary isn't a big deal, but if you remove the roof panel and seat track bolts, you'd have more than enough wiggle room without actually removing the seat from the car or unplugging the wire harness.
The first couple sentences here give procedure for removing seat track bolts. No need to unhook battery or dismantle anything else since you're only lifting the seat up a couple inches.

That's my suggestion. I have a flexible one like the link below that might work to get around better under there.

I really appreciate all the great advise here. Couple very good ideas. Didn't even think abt removing the roof to give me more working room... duh. The jokes are fantastic lol make a funny situation out of a bad one...

It has a magnet attachment if you bought a cheap gold plated ring! Seriously if you find it you can use a small remote grabber to get it out!
One other thing to try quickly, hit the brakes very hard from about 50 mph so you're well over a "g" and see it if flys out! That is like tilting the car at a 45+ degree angle. Have used that in the past to get something our from under a seat.

That would a great use for the Harbor Freight fiberoptic video camera I bought the othe day on a whim! It has a ~36 inch flexible wand. Though I would look for "coking" of the Intake valves after a few more miles! Actually just a way to justify the $69 coupon price I saw in a flyer. Works very well, a 2.4" LCD screen and it lite up an area in a R2800 WWII airplane engine cylinder I have in my man cave!
