So which wheels?

Check the BASH video (go to 40:46) posted a couple of days ago and there is a not so clear picture of them. Instead of 5 solid spokes like the 2015 base wheel, these have 5 sets of 2 narrow tuning fork spokes-the Z51 tuning fork spokes are wider apart and more detailed based on what I saw. My read is there will be plenty of negative posts about them in the future and this is the first one. They are terrible in my eyes as they are a poor version of the Z51 wheels and will always be negatively compared to the Z51 wheels.

Are they polished or silver painted?

The main issue I have with double spoke wheels is the difficulty getting between the spokes to clean them when they are close together. In this case, don't have much choice other than to upgrade to 19/20 combo which I do not want to do.

Do the spokes bulge out a little near the center and then back in as they move outside or is it just the crappy image? If so...that's boo boo dude, looks like something that belongs on a VW beetle turbo. Not a fan.

They do look like they would be a pain. I think the 14-15 Z51/ZF1 wheels are pretty easy to clean though...

Well since the '16 is going back to C6 technology to close the trunk, they might as well bring back the Split Gumbies too!
I really liked my Chrome Split Gumbies, but they were a pain to clean between the forks!

I could see that. They do look good though, but I do wash my car myself.

Yuck....the spokes are way too thin. I was considering switching my current order from a 2015 to a 2016, but not after seeing these rims.

What if they're not dual spoke at all? Maybe that area between the 2 spokes is solid. Keep in mind that this appears to be the machine face variant which means that the apparent empty space between the spokes may be solid and painted black. My theory is that these are still 5 spoke wheels with a differently styled spoke. That would be a very logical evolution of the base wheel and would present a very different appearance than a dual spoke wheel with thin spokes. In this photo we just can't tell yet. It seems odd to me that GM would make the base wheel resemble the Z51 wheel at all.

Whatever it is, I'm going with it as I don't want the larger wheel/tire combo. I'll deal with it, no matter if it is dual spokes or a single spoke.
