I had met the e-mailer at Spring Mountain and he recognized me so he just shot me a quick note with some suggestions. I may be using the wrong software on my computer. I will have to try a few things to see if I can figure out what I am doing wrong.

Sorry guys. If you are having issues with your audio when viewing it with QuickTime or something similar it is most likely the player itself. These two don't seem to play well together. I had this issue once I attempted to upload my Spring Mountain video. I then used the free GoPro Studio software and that solved my problem. You can download it for free from gopro.com. Hope this helps someone having this issue. And yes, blue and I are Spring Mountain homies!

1. VLC -> File -> Convert/Stream
2. Open media... -> <select your PDR .mp4 file>
3. Select 'Video - H.264 + MP3 (MP4)' profile
4. Click 'Customize...'
5. Video codec -> check 'Keep original video track'
6. Audio codec -> check 'Keep original audio track'
7. Click 'Apply'
8. Chose your destination location and filename
9. Click 'Save'
This will generate a .m4v file that will contain the original video and audio tracks (i.e. no transcoding). This file will play correctly in Quicktime.
