Default Thanks Glen E......completed the Master Plan this weekend

......and I think she looks stunning........overcast / no sun, but still!!

Also did the wheels with cleaner and silicone spray. Polishing was done by hand......no rotary polisher yet.

Yup .......especially the wheels and the final step of clear seal.......be a piece of cake freshening up every 3 months. I'm lucky enough to park in a garage at home and at work so she's only outside when being driven.

BTW.......the whole front is Xpeled, so it only got the last step.

Well I was going to create my own thread thanking Glen for his contributions and material recommendations but here is just as good a place as any so we don’t have 100 thank you glen threads. I too detailed both our vehicles this weekend. I was an 8 year Zanio user and gave Blackfire products a shot this time (Wet Diamond/Crystal Top). While I can’t really speak for the advantages in the sealants as they are so close one can’t really nitpick. I will say that this is my first time using a Griots buffer and cleaning/polishing the paint. Thank you for beating the prep work is key mantra into us, it really did make a difference and I’m glad I gave the polisher method a try and made that investment. Anyway, thanks for all you contribute here!

Thank you! you're right, many products are great, you'll never hear me say " buy what I use, it's the best!" How the hell would I know what's best? Blackfire crystal seal is just easy and effective. When I find something easier than BF CS, I'll dump it too!

But yeah, the key is the finishing polish and an foam padded orbital, the hand cannot move at 1500 rpm......

This is a great example of how those in the know share...what they know with those that do not ...pass it on ...teach a man to fish
I am sure there are those of you that have many ways to get the same result, I would urge thos eot share as well so start your own thread and let those of us pick what works best for us ...share the wealth gents

Man, that looks great! I have a Sharkgrey on the way and have decided to go with Glen's "Master Plan" also.

I was hoping someone could answer a question for me though. The master plan says to use the BF Total Polish, BF Wet Diamond, and then the BF Crystal Seal. I do see that the Wet Diamond part is optional but I'm curious what does it add? A deeper, more wet look?

So, the BF Total Polish is, well, the polish. The BF Wet Diamond is the wax and the BF Crystal Seal just seals it all in and helps with occasional maintenance after a wash. Correct?

By the way, Glen, thanks so much for your tutorial. I know there are are ton of different ways to detail your car as I've been told many times. But, I really appreciate that you say "This is what I did, this is what I used, this is the results". Makes things very straight forward and easy!

The wet diamond adds more protection for cars used in the winter or those that don't mind the extra work. In Florida, I forego it.

Ah ok. Yeah, I won't be driving in the winter but don't mind a little extra elbow grease for more protection. I'll probably give it a shot.
