Default California Car Duster

Does anyone have reservations on using the California Car Duster on the C7? Just to keep the dust from piling up on it.

I used it on my '94 and thought it worked pretty good. Don't know if the paint or other things have changed that much though to where it would put minute scratches on it or something.

I have no problems using it on my new Stingray and Z06. Everything I have read they are perfectly safe, as long as you're not doing it on a super dirty car, and have noticed no issues.

Been using one on my C6 GS for 2 years, not a scratch or swirl on the car. Use it daily (in spring/summer/fall) to remove dust and lately the pollen in the air.

with the above. Only if dust from sitting in garage, not it you get caught in the rain and have dirt on it.

I have used the same duster for 20 years on my toys including my new Z06. As advertised it has gotten better over time. I use it to dust off in the garage or events.

I've used a large one for my cars and a small one for the motorcycle for years with never a problem. I keep thinking I need to replace it, but they claim they work better over time. I do put them in the washer every few years, though, in cold water.

Have used one for years on my vehicles and it works great - no damage to the paint.

I've used mine for years on my C4. Now I use it on my C7. I'd recommend not using lots of pressure... its a duster so light passes are the way to go.

I use a large one for the outside, small one for the wheels, and another small one for the interior. No issues. By the way I've always been told not to wash them, they will lose some effectiveness.... Don't know for sure since I've never washed mine, I just shake it out. No issues thus far (20+ years).

I use one every week on my c7.....as long as you use it to DUST and not to CLEAN, they are totally safe. I replace mine 2x a year. An extended stick taped to a mini duster gets my side skirts without bending over too.

Been a fan for years, use the duster frequently between washings, especially on the rear fascia.

What about Pollen. This time of year here in Ohio there are trees near my office that leave your car with a coating of green dust. If the car is clean do you think it would be safe dust off the pollen?

I have used the same one for 6 years now, no problems as long as you use it for what it was intended for, light dust.

I use it almost daily, on my NRB as well as black cars. As others have stated....only dust....no grime. You don't want grime in the duster fibers as it'll scratch. Don't apply any pressure. Zero. Make 2-3 passes if you have to in order to remove the dust.

If you do it lightly and frequently, it's the best thing out there.

I also use one on a clean my cars to remove the pollen and dust. Just remember to move the duster in one direction, shake it then go back in the other direction. don't leave it touching the car and moving it in all directions, in case you do pick up something. Then you can go over the car with a microfiber towel. I also use Griots garage Car Wash spray and spray wax to keep the car clean. works great.

I also have the small duster for the interior. I do the same thing make a swipe then shake it out and do it again.

I have had the same duster for over 20 years, use it every time I drive my black C7 and am very happy with the way it works.

One additional comment, I have used the same duster on three C6's, silver, CRM, TR, and now a black C7, and so far, have not seen any visible scratches caused by the duster.
