713HP C7GrandSport photo shoot
C7GrandSport is finally "done". Last additions being an ECS Supercharger by The Vette Doctors and custom underhood insulation by RPI.
So it was time for a photo shoot Friday with Richard Prince of Corvette Magazine. Richard had photographed my '73 big block and '63 split window in the past.
We agreed the weather forecast looked great and we'd meet in the late afternoon. I spent most of the day cleaning on Thursday and drove the car to work on sunny Friday morning.
Then the dark clouds rolled in during the afternoon. Then it rained. Then I wiped the car off. Then it started to look brighter. Then it rained again. Then I wiped the car off again. Although the sky still didn't look too encouraging, I set off to meet Richard.
Fortunately, that was the end of the rain and he got to shoot against varying lighting conditions, as the cloud cover kept changing. It also produced a beautiful sunset. I'm sure he got some great pictures.
I figured I'd photograph the photographer ...
I'm sure his will come out better than mine ...

You've got a beautiful car and I love what you have done to it. So when will the article appear in Corvette Magazine?

You never know. My '73 took almost 2 years to get in, '63 was a lot quicker. Depends on what other cars they are running. I would guess sooner than later, since modified C7's tend to sell magazines for them!

When people who don't know anything about dynos ask how much horsepower my car makes, I just tell them it's "about 500"
I don't guesstimate based on my last dyno number and tell them it's 499 or estimate that it should be closer to 525 on a milder day

713 flywheel horsepower - 20% drivetrain loss = 570 rear wheel horsepower

Math, how does that work....
X*.8=570
X=570/.8
570/.8= 712.5
The C4 Grand Sport had black wheels with a polished lip. Might I suggest a silver rimblade to recreate that look?

Your all wrong and it's .2 times 570 equal 114 20 percent of 570 is 114.
114 plus 570 is 684
You can't figure percent of 713 when he is guessing the 713! 570 rwhp is the known
Duds!
Next lesson!
