Hey OP, thanks for the insights. Very helpful. I'm going to see if I can get my cousin in Seattle ('15 A8 VY) to join me there is the fall. Insights like this make me really want to go.

Great write-up. I'm going next week and have a 2014 - so no PDR. Do they take a standard 16 or 32 SD card or one of the miniature ones?

Standard SD card and 16 would work.

Regular SD not micro, and Don't forget, the SD card for PDR goes ONLY in the glove box slot (in glove box on left side).

I love all the info on here. You guys are great....

A couple other ?s I have...

If we go there in Dec/Jan. It does get cold there that time of year. Any of you have challenges regarding the tires and traction in the cold?

For the spouse...would she be bored out of her mind handing around each day?

I went this year for the 3-day class Jan 17-19 and weather was beautiful, sunny 60's.
One of the 12 in our class had his wife there. She sat through about 4 hours of our classes and went to all the lunches. I think she went to the Pahrump casino's some of the time too.
Weather can vary so just watch the forecast a few days before you go-I think a recent May class had 50's and 60's too.

Cool...she'll probably go see friends while I'm there. But was just curious what she could do if she hung around. Maybe a ride along with an instructor or something. I'm hoping to also hit the DriveSRT the same week for her baby...the Grand Cherokee SRT. I have to get my vette first tho. LOL Haven't ordered it yet. Soon.....soon...

Spouse did ride along with the instructor on the lead follow in my 3 day school 3 years ago. During the day my wife drove around with my friend's wife looking for native American jewelry and got almost as far as Death Valley. Other than that, don't expect much for her to do or see.

I just returned from the 5/6 June 2-day owners class. I second all the comments. I had a magnificent time and learned a helluva lot. AND had fun! I even managed to do the Jet Pack flight while there.

Good comments; good suggestions; spot on.

Thanks for the tips.

I'll be driving out from Pennsylvania at the end of the month. I decided to take a long road trip!!!! I'm looking forward to seeing the sites. Hopefully it will be a peaceful, uneventful trip. I'll be there for the July 2-3 2-Day. Gonna incorporate NCM, the Tail, Grand Canyon, 66, and whatever. Taking the 14 (Z51, Mag, Comp Seats, 7sp)

Question, Can you buy extra nights at the resort, and if so how much? How far is it from Vegas? Are their any nice hotels in the resort area for the night before?

I booked an extra night at $110. Vegas is 45-50 mins.

Another tip, don't speed going into the town of Pahrump. I had a radar detector with me and well lets just say they just cruse back and forth blowing radar on a constant basis. The speed limit goes from 55 to 35 and I noticed most everyone is really doing 35, for a good reason.

Great write up and thanks. I am attending the class starting tomorrow and can't wait.

Question: Since I have a 2014 with no PDR will they take moment to discuss the set up and how to execute?

He was not there when I went. They did mention that he is there occasionally.
