I'm 33 and my 2nd vette (2016 z06) has a tpw of 6/29. I got my first vette (2009) at age 29. I'm a white guy . I work and go to college full time (19 credit hours this semester). I work my butt off to drive the car of my dreams.

Believe it or not (sarcastic) some people believe their vehicle to be an extension of who they are. For many a vehicle is an outward image that they can project to the world about who they are and what they are about.

So in this case. If the "social opinion" is that old guys drive cars. A younger man, even if he can afford it, may shy away from the purchase for fear of looking like an old dude.

In this case, the image of the vette is "old guy".

I'm almost (on order) on my 2nd vette and I'm 36. First one was when I was 21.

I bought my first Vette when I was 21 Years old. Forty seven years and twenty Vettes later....... So, you tell me where do I fit in? Way too much is made of the age thing. Who really cares?

I am 49 and now have a 2015 Z06 and a 2014 C7..but have had other cars prior.... just decided it was time to give the new Corvette a try and I love it.

Prior to this I had a 2009 997 C4S Cab, a 2002 996 Cab, '59 190 SL, 550 SL, and a 328 GTS as the "exotics"...

This car has been the most fun! and as the OP states, I am very thankful and grateful for the chance to have nice cars.

49 and my first C7 - but I also have had a C6, C5, two C4's and a C3.
I have owned Corvettes pretty much continuously since 1984.
I have finally gotten to just about be the "Average Corvette Owner" - white and 52 years of age.
