Corvette C7 Window Valets are now available from SCP!
Southern Car Parts is now offering the C7 Window Valet from Top Down Technologies.
Corvette Window Valet
What is a Window Valet? The Window Valet plugs into the OBD port near the edge of the dash trim, no tools required. The Window Valet does not reprogram any of the car’s computers, so to reverse the installation simply unplug the unit and the car will immediately revert back to stock. There’s no configuration required, just plug it in! It gives you remote control of your windows (a must for vert owners), three click of the unlock button on the Key FOB and the windows roll down. Three clicks of the lock button and the windows roll up, or unlock-unlock-lock may be used to prevent the car from blowing its horn multiple times.
This allows you to roll the windows up and down from a distance. On hot days, you can vent the car before you even get to it. This is just one of the Valet Features, several more listed at the link below..
Quick video that shows how it works (on a C6, we’ll have a C7 video to post on here ASAP)
Now available with FREE SHIPPING, and remember to use Coupon Code SCP5 for an extra $5 discount!

Ordered mine last week. already rec'd, installed and works like a champ.
The venting feature provides about a 3/4" to 1" opening, nice for the very hot southern NM desert summer.

One point of interest....
I have noticed on some occasions with vendors who list an item for sale on this CF, that if the item is popular by demand, the vendors don't have the item in stock.
The vendor takes the order, then the customer waits and waits until the seller gets their inventory replaced then the orders are sent out. Usually there is no notification to the customer from the vendor. In most cases, you can only go to their respective website and view the order, but there is no indication the item is considered an "out of stock" item, or is a "backordered" item.
I have had this happen to me, where the vendor advertises here on CF, orders are placed and the vendor cannot fill the order, never notifies the customer. The vendor has to wait until their inventory is replenished.
In these cases, I have paid in advance and I request a refund from that vendor. I will not deal with a vendor that does this and does not answer emails or has notified the customer of a "backorder" situation.
In many cases these vendors are small and do not stock a wide range of parts in their respective inventory, so the consumer has to wait until the vendors inventory is restocked. The best kind of order is a third party order, where the vendor takes the order, passes it on to the manufactuer and the manufacturer sends it out directly to the customer.
This is the way Lloyd Mats work, the vendor takes the order, sends to Lloyd Mats and the mats are made and sent to the customer. There are usually never any problems with waiting.
This is just a thought about dealing with CF vendors and actual experiences that I have encountered.

My experience with SCP is that they don't pay very close attention to the forums or their email. If you want to get their attention, give them a phone call. When I had an issue with a product purchased from them, they were very responsive once I called.

Does it work on the C7Z? Theres no port directly under my steering wheel but there a port to the far left...Its that where it plugs into?
Also, I would like to see the video of the C7 install and operation before I buy. I thinks its a great idea!
Thanks.

Yes, as the title of the thread says, it's for the C7. It plugs into the OBD II port on the far left bottom of the dash, next to the hood release handle. You just plug it into that port, just as you would plug an electrical appliance into a wall socket.
