Has anyone else been able to get OnStar navigation directions on the HUD? I just got a 2014 Z51 and I have never seen nav on the HUD, even though its shown in the owners manual. They work fine on the DIC.

My brother's 2015 Denali HUD looks very similar, and he does get nav directions. Neither of us can figure out why the C7 doesn't show them up there, I've also seen a 2013 Camaro get them on the HUD too.

My 2014 shows nav directions in the HUD. Not sure what settings caused it but it always does. (it might not be OnStar though)

I think only the built-in Nav shows directions on the HUD, not On-Star. OnStar will showing them in the DIC in front of the driver, when they change.

I've never tried having Onstar send directions to this car, but on my '09, the turn-by-turn directions showed up on the radio display (and muted it ), but not on the HUD. It was so annoying, that I quit paying for that portion of the service and bought a Garmin. My guess is that they didn't fix that for the '14.

Factory installed Navigation system displays information on HUD (also displayed on DIC) during commanded maneuver, includes left or right turn information and count down distance in feet to the displayed turn. Trip progress, time and route information is only displayed on the navigation map center screen. On Star navigation is turn by turn informed through their site (voice command).

yup, its not onstar that shown, just the factory nav

I never even activated the trial for Onstar. But my onboard NAV does show turns in all three locations - on screen, DIC and HUD.

I just tested this and its true that on board nav does show up on the HUD, my OnStar nav doesn't seem to show up. I really rather prefer to use OnStar for navigation, I get to tell a person where I want to go instead of find it on a crappy touch screen while I'm driving.

Can anyone with a 2015 try this and see if OnStar nav directions show up on the HUD? My previous C6 did this, it would seem strange for GM to remove a feature. My owners manual on page 5-26 also states specifically "Upcoming maneuver from OnStar" as being shown on the HUD.

They do not on my '15. They do show up on both 8" LCD screens, though. The 2015 manual, on page 5-29, says the HUD displays

According the the manual on GM's site, the very first line of page 5-30 still says "Upcoming maneuver from OnStar" for 2015. (It's page 135 of the pdf.)

My 2015 with OnStar "turn by turn directions" shows the route etc. on the nav display, but only the "Upcoming maneuver from OnStar" on the HUD.
Example: when OnStar Betty says "turn left onto XYZ street in 1/4 mile, the nav screen automatically zooms in to the street with left arrow showing, and the HUD displays a Green Left turn arrow with approx. distance to the turn.

My 2LT, without Nav, will not, no matter what I try, display directions on the HUD. This must only work if the Nav system is installed.

I tried every mode of the HUD, and setting the display to track to the driving mode, then tried every driving mode. I get the turn by turn directions on both 8" screens, but never on the HUD. And without Nav, there's no map on the center screen to zoom in on.
