2016 D-Shape Steering Wheel (not Z06)
Has anyone seen this wheel yet ? Just curious if they made it a bit thicker.
Gene, when will this wheel be available ?

I'm curious if it will be cheaper than the Z06 wheel.
Will be looking at gmpartsoutlet.net, gmpartsdirect.com, and www.gmpartsdirect.co once we have the part #

Not a bad looking steering wheel at all.

Can anyone explain the functional purpose of a "D-shaped" steering wheel? I'm genuinely curious how this is better than a perfect circle wheel...... In my experience it makes turning hand over hand a bit awkward...... i guess it's kinda cool only because it's different..

steering function no different...wheel feels great + the style is suited to a C7
matte carbon fiber trim is a sweet accent compared to the bland trim on the '16 wheel above

I find that when you make a turn, the flat part of the wheel fits naturally into your hand, and feels like better control.
I have such a wheel on my Mercedes C-class.

In looking at the wheel from the brochure, this is the first time I've seen it-I'm not a fan. We have a lot of Vendors here who can make a wheel for you that won't cost an arm and a leg too.
PM me if you need Vendor suggestions.

I have to agree with you Steven...the standard GM D bottom wheel doesn't do anything for me either.

Would definitely not make me upgrade my C7 for the flat bottom steering wheel just saying.

The Z06 bottom flat part of the wheel looks much better then the standard wheel with just the leather and no script.

Probably in the same ballpark as Carivaggio. 2K+
I think DSVettes or Vette Candy, whatever they are called today, are a bit cheaper. Cheaper still is getting the Z06 flat bottomed wheel but it's no thicker than stock. These can be had for between 350-420 depending on whether you want leather or suede.
I still prefer my Z06 suede wheel to the new wheel or the other options. I want more "go" then "show" so don't feel spending 700-2500 bucks for a wheel is worth it for me, but to each his own.
