Go to tirerack.com and put in year, 2013 will get all C6's; make -Chevy, and model (assume he or she has the base model.) It will give you all the quality tires available and their prices. They list those shops that will be happy to install them if you want to purchase from them. You can also look at the tires performance as folks have rated, which is much better than the manufacturers descriptions! It shows if they are run flats or non run flats. I switched to Firestone run flats when getting new tires for my C6 Z51, like a number of others. They were fine but has less cold weather performance that is not an issue in central California as it was not for me in SC except for a few winter days.

"Johnny. do we have a prize"?.......what exactly do you do with a runflat that blows out to a shredded mess?

A repair kit, along with an air pump in the cubby of mine. Like said the majority of flats are by nails, etc. causing a slow leak.

Yes, these were just released about a month ago. I am ordering before July 5th to get the current rebate. Tire Rack has them in stock for the base Stingray, 18/19 wheels. Don't know about the 19/20 sizes.

I used to carry a kit with an air compressor (not a cheap power port plug in POS but a good one that hooks directly to the battery), and a tire plug kit (to fix anything but a major blow out) in all my cars. I for one think the run flats are great. The wife has them on her BMW and I no longer worry about her having a flat. Not a good situation in today's world for a woman to be alone on the side of the road. I also like having them on the C7. No longer have to sweat worrying about trying to fix or change a tire in a less than ideal place. My truck has a spare and a lot you think that is the way to go. Well maybe. I had a flat in my previous truck a few days after undergoing a chemo treatment and barely had the strength to stand up. A razor blade had slashed the sidewall and was still imbedded in the rubber. Not a candidate for a plug. Took me 2 hours to change the tire but I got it done. At the time, I sure wished I had a set of run flats.

I used GY runflats on my C6 until Michelin came out with them. The Michelin All Season runflats were a big improvement over the GY and what I will use on the C7 when the factory tires wear out. I've had too many flats over the years not to use runflats.

Would one expect a slightly more compliant/quieter ride on the C7 with something like the Conti DWS's?
