I live 1.5 miles from my office and we have heavy trucks running thru the middle of our lot kicking up dust all day. I wait untill I get home and then go for a ride, it just does not make sense for me to drive it so short (and not good for the car) a distance to work.

Something like 19 days of rain in a row here and record rainfall statistics for months. About halfway through our driving season and I've got about half the mileage on mine that I would normally have. I know it won't melt but if I can't drive it like a Corvette I'd rather drive my other car.

I think I had mine three days before I turned it into a work truck, with a cooler of cold water, a cooler of soil and groundwater samples, a folding chair, a spray paint can, etc. in the trunk (vert).

Thanks F4 Phantom, you are correct! We promote it to be celebrated on the Friday nearest to the 30th and try to post as many pictures as we can that people sent us to social media on the 30th in celebration of the Corvette's birthday!

You can see some of the posts on our Facebook page in my signature!

Happy driving everyone!

Default Every day between May and November...

...is drive my corvette day. Not just to work but where ever I happen to be going except: 1) if thunderstorms are predicted or 2) going someplace like my In Laws where you have to go down a dirt road to get there or 3) I need to haul something, in which case its the truck.

I agree. Best part of my day is driving to and from work in the Corvette. Why deny yourself that pleasure? If you bought the Corvette as an investment, don't drive it at all.

It was raining like hell when I got up so I took the trax, I usually drive my z06 everyday but I don't take it when it's raining.

If it rains after I'm out in the zo6 I'm OK with that, my new car doesn't do rain.

I'm keeping my new corvette nice for the next owner, who will probably not only drive it in the rain and snow, plus use it as a pickup truck.

As one never knows when he or she will be taking the big dirt nap, I am either going with snows are all seasons. It can't snows much in Cincinnati as it did last year. However, I only got stuck one time in my CTS V coupe which had fairly worn high-performance summer tires in wider sizes than OEM. And Cincinnati is not flat.
