Folding the side mirror up
Can someone please explain how to fold the side mirrors up on the car? Every time I try I feel like I'm gonna pull the freakin' mirror off. Does the car have to be on? Owners manual didn't say that.

You don't pull it. Push from the backside of the mirror and it will fold in so the mirror part is against the window.

Trying to fold the side mirror in. I'm standing out of the car, car is off, and I'm pulling the mirror toward the car, kind of toward the driver side rear wheel. Do you pull it up and in? Is it easier if you sit in the car?

Push toward the back of the car on the front outside of it, it rotates toward the car pretty easy.

My '14's mirrors are super tight!. So much so, I wouldn't want to fold it very often.
I think there must be a range of "tightness", just like there was on the C6. The mechanics haven't changed. My '05 mirrors always have folded fairly easily, and my '09 were so hard to do, that it felt like I was going to break it.

So does the driver side mirror pivot on the base toward the driver side window? I can see it move a little if I push from the back and try to turn it toward the car.
It shouldn't be this difficult

Yes. It should loosen with use.

My passenger side mirror was so tight I thought maybe just the drivers side folded in. I thought I was going to break it. But finally gave it enough force and now they both fold in pretty easy.

Easier if you take a bit of "running start" at it. Just not too hard, but you will see it will move in towards the passenger's side window as it pivots inward and back.

Thanks.
Easiest way I found was take your palm and place it at the furthest point from the car on the mirror. Then push up and in.
The manual instructions suck

My question is: why the heck you all feel the need to move it?
