Can The Z06 Rear Cooling Scoops Be Added On A Stingray?
Without having to take half the car apart? Im thinking it may help add additional cooling. Im thinking the after market should be able to make a similar scoop that would just attach over the factory one.

Yes, but the quarter panels have to be at least partially removed.

The rear cooling scoops would look good on the base cars.

If its done right it could be made and look good. Even if it just used double faced tape.

Some Z06 badges would be cheaper.

I asked Tadge about this while at the bash in April - not about whether or not it could be done but about whether or not there were any reasons to not do it. I found his response to be quite interesting; he said that there was no reason to not do it (in other words, no harm would be done) but he added that there would be no benefit, either. He went on to say that yes, the Z06 intakes would indeed bring in more air but that in a Z51 the added air wouldn't translate to any additional actual cooling capacity or functional benefits. I'm no engineer so I can't offer any additional insight.

I bought the OEM GM Z06 Rear Quarter Panel scoops for $197.00 delivered for the pair (Right & Left). They are OEM GM Carbon Flash identical to the ones in the Stingray.
Easy to install and there is a great video from ACC (not ACS) on how to complete the install without removing the rear quarter panel. Takes about 15-20 minutes on each side to remove and install the new vents.

Regardless of functionality, I think most will install these just for the looks. Does anyone have a picture of the ACS version installed. I know they are more expensive but with the Z06 grille and stage 1 splitter already installed, plus looking into the ACS Zero 7 side skirts, I did not want to add more Z06 parts to my car.
