Default Panel fit after fuel filler neck recall: pictures

The upper rear bumper fascia fit to the driver side quarter panel does not look right. This fit sticks out more than the right side. I noticed this after the gas filler neck was replaced from the recall. Is there an adjustment for this fit. Please reply and thanks for your time and reply.

Yes I realize that I could return my car to the dealer but, I would rather adjust this fit myself. Thanks..

My fender liner was abused and I actually used sealer calk to reposition and hold it in place. The work accomplished is at the forward fender area, however who knows what technitican disturbed. I hate recalls.

The dealer should not have had to remove the fender or the rear bumper to replace the fuel inlet...
I would remove the wheel well liner screws and see if it goes back into place.

Good that you figured it out. I think I would still let the dealer know about the panel alignment issue - may help the next owner out.

Mine was the same way after the recall. I had to reposition the liner. Parts of the edge were behind the edge of the fender and parts were on top. Guess the tech never looked to see how it was installed before removal or thought to look at the other one for comparison. Must have been in too much of a hurry.
Not a big deal but it makes one wonder.

My survey just came yesterday and I filled it out truthfully.

No issues when my gas filler recall work was done. The dealer has done several of these recalls and the Corvette tech seems to know what he is doing.

I watched the tech do my fuel filler recall. The outer body panels were never touched, only the wheel well liner. Everything was reassembled perfectly.

Gotta be careful about filling those out. You might find them unwilling to do work for you in the future, but if they're gonna screw up something rather simple, maybe that's not such a bad thing.

The dealers all want a perfect score, but if you really got poor work, it should not be covered up...
I had a water pump replaced at my dealer, and when I opened the hood with the engine running, the pulley bolts did not look right...
I found that of the 4 bolts holding the pulley on, one was run down finger tight, and the other 3 were not even threaded all the way down...
The only thing keeping the pulley from wobbling was the hub had a close fit locating hole on the pulley like wheel hubs.

Sad but true and frustrating...
Not that long ago I was unhappy with the work done by the techs at an "import" dealer and noted it on the survey card. The service manager called me when they got the feedback - not to appologize or try to make it right, but to give me $h1t about how they would be losing money, etc. Needless to say when I realized they had my name and info I never returned to their service dept.
