Toledo railyard wait
Oh I am so glad my train ride is over. It's worth it and now after a few months I have almost gotten over the agony of rail transport! I'm loving the car and you will too!

Right now it says "car xxxxxxx load has been received in interchange Gibson, Indiana on at 3:35 PM". OnStar GPS is still showing Toledo, and the car diagnostic information times out when trying to refresh.

Onstar won't pick it back up till your car is offloaded from the rail car for truck transport to the dealer. It doesn't work inside the rail car depending on how it is loaded. The toledo position is where it was last started. Your moving! Enjoy all the stops along the way.

So get this, and it may not mean much or be applicable to everyone, but I just got the railcar information from the dealership I ordered through. When going through the instructions of this thread: https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...ar-number.html
I was told as of today it is in Alcard(sp?) Indiana. Maybe the GPS is not accurate...

When using these instructions for tracking, do you call the first number for "Tracking on CSX" or the second number for "Tracking on Union Pacific". My dealer gave me the railcar number ettxxxxxxx and I'm trying to find it's location. Bummer that onstar can't be used to follow the car while in transit. I was looking forward to watching it move cross country. Supposedly it is on a nonstop train headed for Milpitas, CA.

"Nonstop" could be! We didn't notice ANY extended stops on our ex -order as it left Toledo early evening on Monday and arrived in Milpitas at 10PM on Friday!. Ours was tracking on CSX. What did your dealer tell you? If you pm me your car # Ill see what they say and get back with you as a pm also.

Thanks for the recognition as The Best. That other team that wears pink and yellow looks like they might be going the wrong way. Tough divisions for both teams.

I was watching the news in the Bay Area last night. Some idiots in Indiana parked a limosine across the tracks and a freight train whacked it. What are the odds...

Just a guess but it might be where cars are split up for going in different direction. Southwest/ mid/ northwest??? Tracking ours back in May there was no stop in Gibson!! Might have been a full load to one area with drop cars along the way?? Just a guess.

Fawk, wasn't that your car near the end of the train?
