I'm trying to order a 2016 convertible in Daytona Sunrise Orange.
I'm ordering a base car, but want the Z51 spoiler.
I first ordered it with the 5ZU painted spoiler, but was told it was unavailable on an orange car.
I resubmitted the order with FE2 which includes Z51 wheels and spoiler. Again, I was told spoiler unavailable.

How is it they can put a spoiler on a DSOM Z51, but not a base car???
And even if this is the case for some reason, shouldn't there be an adjustment to the FE2 pricing?

My base 2016 DSOM that I am picking up tomorrow has the rear spoiler. Ordered the magnetic ride and it includes the bigger wheels and the rear spoiler

5ZU, for whatever reason, cannot be ordered with DSOM:

5ZU LPO, Z51-style spoiler Genuine Corvette Accessory
Not available with (5ZV) Carbon Flash painted Z51-style spoiler, LPO, (R8C) Corvette Museum Delivery, (FE2) Magnetic Selective Ride Control or exterior color (G1H) Daytona Sunrise Orange Metallic.


Don't understand why you can't order FE2 (costs a lot more than the 5ZU, but you are getting a lot more):

FE2 NEW! Magnetic Selective Ride Control, includes Z51-style spoiler, (XFJ) P245/35ZR19 front and P285/30ZR20 rear, performance, summer-only, run flat tires and 19” front and 20” rear wheels (select from Q7S, Q7E, Q7T or QCC wheels, unless ordered with ZLD/ZLE/ZLG Design Packages which include R86 or R87 wheels - see package descriptions)
Not available with (QG6/QX1/QX3/RPK) 18" front and 19" rear wheels.


You could always purchase the spoiler from a Chevy parts department and have it installed.


There are no constraints listed for DSOM.

I did resubmit the order with the FE2 package and was again told that I would not get a DSOM spoiler.
Now they're telling me that it will come with a black spoiler, but they can paint it if I so desire (for an additional $400!)

ask your sales person why. if he doesn't know, ask him if he would mind trying to find out.

otherwise, talk to one of the large dealers connected to this site.

somebody knows the reason. somebody can get you what you want or tell you why not.

Ah, I was misunderstanding your post. I don't know why they don't offer a DSOM spoiler, but that was true in 2015 as well. Only black spoilers on the DSOM.

There are several aftermarket vendors that sell the spoiler painted in any body color. Might be cheaper to buy one of those and sell your black one than have the dealer paint it.

Are you implying that the FE2 package does NOT include a DSOM colored spoiler? Man do not tell me that, I am calling my dealer tomorrow morning and find out what's the truth.
