So I decided to drive around to a few local dealers today and see what they had / finally test drive a C7.
I went to three dealers within 30 minutes of my house, and not a single one would let me test drive a C7. Granted, these cars were on the showroom floor but at the same time, I can't buy a car I haven't ever driven before.
I called around and found a dealer about an hour away and they said sure, I could drive any Vette that wasn't in their showroom. I show up and they have a 2015 with 1500 miles, M7 fully loaded ready for me to drive. Salesman comes with me and allows me to spend about 45 minutes to an hour with the car which I thoroughly enjoyed. After we got back to the dealership we started discussing specifics on the options I wanted and what I was looking to spend. They searched and searched and weren't able to come up with anything obtainable so we then started talking about ordering a new 16. At first they said they could do around a 2k discount off MSRP but after telling them of other dealers I was going to look at like the forum sponsors here Conti, Kerbeck they came back and said they could do invoice pricing on whatever I wanted to spec out.
I worked with the manager and priced out something just kind of random and was given a full print out with MSRP and Invoice / Supplier pricing. I was told this was the price I'd pay + $599 doc and $21 tag (plus state tax)
My question is, does this look legitimate and how good of a deal would this be?
They said they would also match any written offer from a nationwide dealer or I could respec and build whatever I want and still get it for the invoice price listed. Is there a site I can build similar to what the manager did so I can price out different options like this as well and see the invoice price that was referenced on this paper?

Back to my other question, I'd love to know a site I can build an option a Vette and see that same invoice price so I can spec something out a little more in line with the exact options I want.

$599 doc fee is absurd.

That's a pretty good deal. I ordered mine for $700 over invoice and that was after checking with 4 Chicago dealers. Plus I'm getting the $750 off for belonging to a credit union so essentially at invoice.

While a dealer charging that amount cannot waive it (there is a law that states if one customer is charged that amount, all must) you can negotiate a portion of, or the full amount off the sale price as a discount in another place on the sales form (higher trade value or cash discount, etc.) However that Doc fee will not change on the actual sales document.
Key is, never mention the doc fee as the item you want removed or reduced. It can sour deal if you do (due to the state laws that require everyone pays the same fee).
Know what it is before going in and if it's say $699, negotiate an additional $675-$700 for your trade or a slightly different dollar amount than the Doc fee as a cash amount discount or trade allowance.

The "doc fees" were one thing that really surprised me when I first moved down here to Florida. But every dealer has them and some are way more than others. The highest down here is the Ford dealer at 900 bucks. Anyway, I think you got an excellent deal and I'd go for it.

State of Florida has one of the highest Doc Fee's in the USA. The fee is unavoidable.
As for the supplier pricing that is on the printout, it shows $200 over invoice is which is the old supplier pricing prior to 7/15/2015.
The GM Supplier pricing went out the window after 7/15/2015, so it looks the C7 was priced under the old pricing method. I'd be suspicious of that.
Current CU pricing is $750.00 discount currently off the deal you cut with the dealer.
Pricing looks too cheap, but if the dealer honors the $200 over invoice, it's a great deal for an ordered 2016.
I see lots of numbers and a yellow highlight, but you never stated what the price was to you?

It's all irrelevant, because this wasn't the exact car I wanted. We were just messing around in the order system and picking options as he wanted to give me an idea of how the invoice differed from the msrp.
