Z51 Constraints...Interesting
I ordered my Z51 Sting Ray and got an order number 2 days ago. My dealer had allocation for 2 Corvettes on Saturday. He called me today to inform me that Z51 cars on on constraint. Then I just read the following from an above post about constraints. I may have a long wait. Oh well.
The Z51 package has been on constraint almost every week since C7 production started in fall, 2013. Lately, and for the current cycle, it is constrained at 50%. This means, at most, only half of the Stingrays ordered this cycle can have the package. If your dealer only gets one allocation this cycle, it's a coin flip on whether he can order a Z51 equipped car or not.
As for how long, the constraint report states it is expected to last the entire model year.
