Default This week's deliveries/barn finds, Ads and Celebs w/Vettes***

This past week flew by and August will come and go fast so get out and enjoy your Vette with all the Events scheduled in your area. Next Saturday the 8th I will be at the Manassas, VA Corvette Show (400+ Vettes) and at the end of August is The Corvettes at Carlisle Event in Carlisle, PA (8,000+ Corvettes). I will be at the Spring Mountain Race Track Booth just next to the GM Tent on the Infield.

~Robert A of Little River, SC factory ordered his new Laguna Blue '16 Z06 Convt even though he had a 2014 Stingray with an Edelbrock Supercharger on it. He couldn't wait to make the switch and now he has his dream Corvette. We had sight unseen his trade and after a quick look He was in and out with paperwork in under an hour headed back to South Carolina.

~Wayne G of Alexandria, VA not only Factory Ordered his new 2016 Black Z06 Convt but he also did the Engine Build Experience. He spoke very highly of the whole process and how the Factory employees treated him like a King for the day. Wayne highly recommends this process!
In his own words-"Just got back from Bowling Green this evening after the Performance Engine Build and the Buyer’s Tour. It was great to actually build the engine…and it worked for the cold fire on natural gas and then to watch your ZO6 be assembled and let me start it with gasoline for the first time. Met a lot of great people, outstanding time, highly recommend to other buyers!!!!" Wayne G

~Matt H of Exton, PA Factory ordered his 2016 Shark Gray with Kalahari Z06 and after it arrived we exchanged Fed Ex pkgs to complete the paperwork/payment process. He then hired Plycon Trucking to retrieve it and bring it to his drive way in PA...and lo and behold it arrived on his 48th Birthday! Couldn't ask for anything better. I watched it get loaded on the truck just in front of a 1967 Ferrari.

~Tim K of Pennsylvania Furnace, PA Factory ordered his Laguna Blue 2016 Stingray and did the Build experience and then went back for Museum delivery. His words after the Museum delivery experience and ride home-"I ended up with about 850 mile on the car getting home and had a blast. The wife was the one that ended up with the speeding ticket trying to keep up in the family car. Took a little longer route getting home and then took the grandson home. He had a great time. He had a ball coming home in the car. Time to change the oil tonight when I get home. I would like to thank you for all the help in getting the car ordered and purchased after all the (BS) I went through with the 2 dealers before you. If I buy again I'll be back and I've already recommended you to some other people. I'm not sure they are ready to buy yet.
But thanks for everything and have a great day." Tim K

~Ed K of Tucson, AZ called me up this past week wanting to Factory Order a new 2016 Stingray Convt in Torch Red with Kalahari interior...I had exact such car sitting on the showroom floor right in front of me so I sent him the spec sheet and we made a deal. We completed the Fed Ex back and forth within 48 hrs and Monday it will get picked up by Plycon Trucking and head West to his home inArizona.

~Randall M of Hagerstown, MD wanted to special order his very first Corvette. After he narrowed down the list of Forum dealers he felt comfortable enough to order his Stingray from me. It helped that he only lives an hour North of Criswell so he could make the trip down and meet me as he decided on options and colors etc. Check out his new 2016 Stingray in Laguna Blue with matching vents...it is sharp and looks great in person. He doesn't miss his BMW after one trip home in his new Blue Beauty.

~Yesterdays delivery was a stunning color combo of Nightrace Blue metallic with Adrenaline Red interior.

~and then it's always fun to trade someone out of their new Mustang into a new Stingray! This Daytona Sunrise Orange Cpe with Black wheels and Black badge pkg is ultra sleek looking.

~Corvette photo's new and old are always fun to view and this seems to be a hit each week as I pull these pictures from the archives. Enjoy the old Ads, Celeb pics, Barn Finds...or just Cool Corvette pics.

Good to hear from you Fast Carl. I will be at the Spring Mountain Race Track Booth just next to the GM tent on the infield. Do you still have my cell number?

Enjoy this post every Sunday and especially so today. Randall M-pictured above- and I met on the forum a while back. I had been looking for a new set of tires for my C6 and even though I had never checked the for sale section on the forum before I decided to give a look right before going to bed. It must have been fate, because at 11:pm on a whim the very first post I see is for a brand new set of Michelin Pilot super sports for sale. Colonel M. was going to replace his Super Sports with an all season tire as soon as his new car arrived. Before going to bed I sent off a Pm and the rest is history. We started an email friendship, and I couldn't have found a nicer person to deal with. Thanks for posting a picture Mike, now I can put a face to the nice person I met on the Forum. Best of luck with your beautiful new C7 Colonel.

So much for C7 attracting younger buyers! What does GM consider younger 59??

Yet another thoroughly enjoyable Sunday morning thread from you, Mike - THANK YOU!

Your photos of Harry Mann Chevrolet got me to thinking...when I bought my very first car (a brand new '73 Pontiac Grand Am) in Waukesha, WI my salesperson's name was Harry Mann. I've often wondered if he was in any way connected to the ownership of the Harry Mann Chevrolet dealership.

Being colorblind, your "new favorite C7 photo" piqued my interest. What color is that?

It looks like a red & orange combination.
