Default Swiffer vs California's duster

I have used new swifter dusters to wipe off the Vette with great success. Have also used California duster. Found the duster gets very dirty, even though no noticible scratches found. I am more comfortable using a new/clean duster. Any thoughts?

I can see that, but I wouldn't use it on the paint. Just because it labels itself as (possibly) a Microfiber product doesn't mean it's not scratchy, and potentially harmful.

Your kidding right? Right off the bat since the Swiffer is for the floor and not the paint on cars the Cali duster wins!

Default Swiffer vs California's duster

My "Dusting" Routine...

New Cali Duster for the hood, roof, trunk, and upper half on the sides.

Old Cali Duster for the front grill area, rear fascia bumper area, and lower half on the sides.

Swiffer Duster (fluffy cloth w/handle --- not the flat floor Swiffers) to lightly dust off the chrome wheels... after first using it to wipe down the interior dash, seats and sills.

Just reread what I wrote and determined (actually, reconfirmed) that I'm a little nuts!

It's a tie. Over a long period of time both will leave the same amount of very fine scratches in the paint most don't care about, but the true fanatics see.

I've never understood the concept of dragging a dirty, waxy mop across the highly polished paint on a high-end car.

when you think about it, when you're dragging something with grit across a painted surface, it's going to leave some degree of scratches

No...it doesn't. It is such a light touch, and apart form a few wax streaks when it is brand new it does nothing/zero/nada/damage or marks of any kind to the paint. Its like a magic dust magnet and one of the best tools ever for people who are **** about their paint..

My car gets a dusting every day before it leaves the house when I drive it unless I just washed it.

Google "Swiffer Duster" it is used to dust wood furniture and such so should be fine.
