Default AC issues

Three times my AC/Heater/Fan controls did not work at all. After the first time I turned off the car and everything worked, the same with the second time.

However, yesterday coming back from Corvettes of Carlisle the system did not reset. Not a fun ride driving for 6 hours coming home.

The first time it quit I thought it was a fuse. Could it be a faulty relay not resetting?

Pulled it out of the garage today, and it works again.

Have an appointment with my dealership tomorrow. My new Coupe just turned 2700 miles. Not a problem I thought I would have

that sucks. I haven't heard others here on the forum describing that problem. I have a 2016 and never experienced that.

Sounds like taking it into the dealer is the best option as it isn't normal...

Had the same experience with my 2015 Z51 on a day trip, stopped working during the drive and would not reset. The next day started up worked like day one blowing cold air . No codes, I'm thinking software glitch from reading current tempt in cabin are faulty temp switch. 4 months now and hotter temps all is good, Must be when all the moons line up. Did not go to dealer in hope a code would eventually show up, nowadays the Tech would be lost without a fault code.

I have a 2015 z51 M7. I have tried to turn on the a/c and fan, neither work. Not the fuse. Going to the dealer prior to hibernating the car for the winter. I don't use the a/c much in the summer but would be nice to have it working. Let us know what the dealer says.

Your BCM needs to be reflashed.

Different topic. You live close to the Tonawanda Corvette engine assembly plant. Two weeks ago four friends and I took the tour. Outstanding experience.

Please post year and build dates, if known. My 2015 with a 12/18/14 build date has been trouble-free so far with no HVAC software updates yet. The PIT5383A update may fix those affected.

Our 2015 Vette was built in October 2014.

All this is confusing. The PIT5383A was supposed to be for Corvettes built before 03/19/15, which would include mine. You had some of the DTCs on the list but I have not...yet. Out of curiosity I'd like to know why.

I have no inside knowledge, but as someone who wrote software for 20-plus year my guess would be a bug that occurs only when a particular group of settings is made. For example, outside temp is above 85, inside temp set below 65, fan set to high, etc. Unless you hit that specific set of conditions, the fault will never happen.

I've done some programming myself over the years and agree with what you're saying. I'm sure it's some quirky combination of events like this.
