I think that may be more an issue of:
- possibly poor paint prep
- panels banged together during build
That gap tends to be tight. See my pic for reference - no issues.
All that said it blows my mind that GM continues to let themselves down by stupid s%#t like this. Their engineering is top notch, but it goes out the window when some dipstick in BG misses this, or worse, ignores it.

Well it's going to the body shop on Tuesday to get those touched up and everything all lined up. The good thing is I personally know the owner of the dealer and he said he will make sure it all gets fixed the right way
