Default C7 Corvette Hawk Ceramic Brake Pads!

C7 Corvette Hawk Ceramic Brake Pads

Ultimate stopping power in an ultra-low dust, low noise ceramic compound!
Hawk Performance has introduced a premium, high performance, ultra-low dust, low noise compound called Performance Ceramic.
Performance Ceramic is engineered to reduce brake NVH (Noise, Vibration and Harshness), creating a quieter performing brake pad. Furthermore, the ceramic brake pad formula has a linear friction profile that allows your ABS brake system to work more effectively. With Performance Ceramic you can expect reduced brake pad wear, lower dust output levels and a rotor-friendly brake pad.

Performance Ceramic – quiet, clean & fast stopping!

Key Features:

- Increased stopping power
- Increased rotor life
- Extended pad life
- Ultra-low dust
- Extremely quiet
- Stable friction output
- Recommended for domestic automobiles

fdxpilot Just a suggestion but I don't think you will like Ceramic Brake Pads on the Zo6. After spending the extra money on the performance of the Z why would you want to diminish the braking side of all that torque and handling?? You should try the Hawk HPS 5.0 pads, less brake dust with better performance than stock pads. I have 5500 miles on a set and highly recommend them for spirited street driving. (Not a track pad)

Hawk HPS 5.0
The new High Performance Street 5.0 Pads are a Ferro-Carbon compound brake pads that provide advanced braking characteristics to enhance the driving experience
As standard brake pads wear, brake dust is released as the friction material wears in everyday braking. Hawk High Performance Street 5.0 brake pads are formulated to produce and release extremely low levels of dust in normal street driving conditions while also being very quiet.

Key Features and Benefits of Hawk Performance HPS Brake Pads:
◦Pushing the Limits of ABS
◦Decreased stopping distances
◦Improved pedal feel from initial pressure through entire pedal stroke
◦Minimal fade under Higher Temps
◦High friction/torque hot or cold
◦Gentle on rotors
◦Very quiet, low noise
◦Improved braking over OE pads
◦Extended pad life

How do these compare to Carbotech? The problem with Carbotech is that I would have to switch them out for street and track use. Do these solve that problem if they're really street and track safe?

That's what I thought. I don't think I've ever heard of pads available for both track and street.

Big difference in street and track pads. If someone says one pad is suitable for both I would insist on some credible data.

Hawk says you can run these daily or track. I doubt these are low dust though. http://www.hawkperformance.com/perfo...t/pads/hp-plus

Not surprising. Most high performance pads are real dirty.
