Default Best commuter car ever!

I have an 80 mile round trip commute daily. The C7 makes that time so much more enjoyable, even when I'm stuck in a few minutes of traffic.

Love this car! There are only momentary times of full out aggressiveness, but those few seconds a few times a day make me smile ear to ear.

If I had to commute longer than the trip to my studio over the garage, this is the car I'd want to use. As it is, I still drive it 25,000 miles a year. Mrowc6 has to drives to VA a couple days a week, and he always takes one (usually the blue one). The rest of the time he takes the blue one to the park and ride (sort of commuting).

If you have a long commute, can't think of a better way to go than in a Vette.

Actually I do. Last winter I was going through withdrawal when it was too cold for the stock tires for about 6 weeks straight. Debating on just switching to AS or buying a set of snow tires and cheap wheels. But don't usually get that much snow around here.

I agree with the OP. Although my commute is only 20 miles round trip, being able to drive the C7 every day makes the trip much more fun. And I do use it every day rain or shine. I've even driven to work on a couple snowy/icy days in the DFW area (few and far between thankfully.) Usually I drive in Tour mode during the week but on Friday I go to Sport which opens up the NPPs and it feels like a different car.

It's my daily driver, for about 50 miles round trip. But only 'til the end of the month. Then I'm retired! Six Saturdays and one Sunday a week!

Backin the day, I used a 1984 Porsche 911 as a commuter car... but snows on and drove it all winter... now, sitting on the DC beltway for 1.5 hours in August in a suit and tie with no A/C and a 5-speed was no picnic, but generally speaking the commute was the best part of my day.

My C7 is like a Cadillac by comparison.... funny, as fast as this car is, it takes me 20 minutes to drive the 5 blocks to the coffee shop in the morning.
