Buying experience a 2014 LT1 Z51 from Craigslist!!
hello
strange thing have happen to me. I found this yellow 2014 LT1 Z51 corvette with 11K mile. I went to the owner house to check the car out. everything seemed fine until I fired up the engine. I noticed the "check engine" light was on and the "traction off" light was on too. the owner said its the steering motor something is wrong with it and its a software problem. even though it didn't make sense to me, I said its alright as long as it will be fixed on the warranty. the car been in the dealership since then for a whole week. and the dealership is unable to fix the car yet.

Wouldn't you think the owner would have had it fixed before trying to sell it? It might be a major problem caused by abuse by the owner, that can't be fixed easily and can't be fixed under the warranty. Is the warranty even in effect? You may have bought a pig in a poke. Hopefully, you paid very little for this car.

I didn't think anything could be more corrupt than boxing & harness racing...... Man was I wrong. Craigslist
I hope things work out for you if you did indeed purchase the car.

If you did buy the car, sure hope you didn't get stuck with a lemon. I think I would have insisted that the car be repaired before agreeing to the purchase.

If it's under warranty, why wouldn't you make the sale contingent on the seller taking it to the dealer to fix???

Bail, man. If you haven't bought it get away from it. If you have bought it I seriously suggest that you give the car back to the guy you bought it from. If he is hesitant suggesting to him that a lawyer may have to be called in might help...although there is the old " buyer beware " about buying used items.
Best of luck to you.

Tell you what I would check with my dealer to see if the seller had it to the his dealer & if so & was told war will not fix it due to his doing something to the car. More than not he may be a home owner I would take him to court if he didn't buy this car back. That is if I did buy it under the understanding it would be fix under warr.... Robert
