Default C7 BlendMount Mount for V1

If you have installed the BlendMount on your C7, how hard is it to install the Mirror Tap.

Not hard at all, just time consuming and very tight quarters.

Not hard at all. Took me maybe 20-30 minutes to install and adjust the mount and install the tap working slow and taking my time. Once you get the cover off the back of the mirror, just pull the wire slack out of the ceiling and twist the connector sideways to access the wires you need. There is no need to remove the PDR cover and no need to remove the connector from the mirror cover or take it apart.

What they say is true, but the cover is quite hard to remove. I also had to file down the wire ends/pins in order to get them inserted. All in all, it is much harder that the C5 or C6 installs.

I installed mine a few weeks ago. Biggest problem for me, but still not terrible, was getting my head oriented so I could see what I was doing. The connector doesn't have much slack. So, with your hands and the taps and the kind of tight quarters it's a bit challenging. Took me maybe a half hour. Had to make a little room with a small jewelers screwdriver to get the taps inserted. I was able to get the connector cover off with my thumbnail. No nicks or scuffs.

Thanks to all for the information. It just looked harder than my C5 & C6 as stated.

Frustrating, but not impossible.

I am having a lot of trouble with installation. I can not separate the top from the bottom of the harness. Why do you have to separate them if you can tap from the top of the harness?

Anybody in San Antonio that has install this on their C7???
