Default Oil and coolant temps

My C7 base temps are as follows...

Oil: 207 - 213
Coolant: 203 - 210

Am I in the ballpark?

Yes you are, that's right where my car runs also.

Mine is in the same ballpark. I just put 1941 miles on a trip to Denver and that is where they fell for the whole trip.

Same for me, they've never gotten higher that than even in temps reading as high as 108. Don

After 13K miles, I'm running low to upper 190's on both temps while on the Hwy (70-80 MPH@ 80-100 ambient). I just made a (30-40MPH) trip up to the top of Pikes Peak; thin air and steep grades made temps run up around the 260 mark.....

I question the calibration between C7 gages; I have several (C7)friends who's gages are reporting at least 10 degrees higher than mine while running down the interstate together.....

What you see on your IP are an estimate of what is going on in your engine, and what is in your gas tank.

Its just an estimate, you would think that given technology today would be more exact but it isn't.

My base Stingray runs about 195 - 200 coolant, oil just a bit higher.

From other threads it seems that oil/coolant temp may be different for 2014 and 2015 models. It has been suggested that 2015 cars run cooler because of a thermostat change or mod. My 2015's coolant (non-Z51) stays at 195° at almost all times, and I saw it go to about 200° only once this summer where ambient temps stayed higher than 100° much of the time. Oil temp stays between 195-200°, except once in traffic when I saw it go to about 210°. This is not as hot as my C6 typically ran, as I saw 220° for OT for most of the summer months. CT fluctuated much more on that car. These are street conditions with lots of stop-and-go traffic, as I don't track my cars.

FWIW, I've never seen my A8 fluid temp exceed 150°. Also, OT increases to normal much more rapidly in the C7 thanks to the engine coolant exchanger not on the C6.

I agree with the calibration issue. One would think they would agree with each other.
