Would you like the option to have your PDR come on automatically at startup and loop through the memory card id needed (like a dash cam). While I love the PDR on the track it also seems like having a perfectly good dash cam and not having it running is lame. Seems like a minor software upgrade could do this.
This just incase GM is reading forums.

Having the system on recording everything all the time might be something to be avoided. Can be used against you in court. I want to control what is recorded.

First sentence " the option ". I agree it should be an option that you can turn on if you want to come on each start up

yes, and have it automatically delete older video files if the card fills up. Also allow you to "protect" certain videos... to where they can only be manually deleted.
If the PDR was always a separate option (and not bundled in the NAV)... there may not be a need for this poll. Right now I have a system on the car that I didn't really need, though it would be nice to configure it into something I can really use.

Yes but this has been a small annoyance since I got the car. Also there is no way to tell if the PDR is running from the home screen or other area's of the infotainment. I'm always wondering if I remembered to turn it on.

I do the same thing here. The only time I forgot to do it within a month, I witnessed a truck running a light and t-boning an 18-wheeler, wedging under it's gravel payload. Driver had only minor injuries, but I couldn't believe I didn't catch that on camera. Missed my normal startup routine and forgot to turn the damn thing on.
