I never use soap on my Corvettes. All I do is power rinse, wipe down, and wax. After a long drive, I clean bugs off of the front end with some Invisible Glass and then quick wax. Been doing it for years.

I too love to wash and clean up car. I use the foam cannon and various shampoos from Chemical Guys. Pressure washer to spray off wheels and car. Foam car...rinse.
Then I use the Chemical Guys 2 bucket system to hand wash. Rinse with PW.
Then use Adams Detailer to dry with micro fiber cloths.
Looks like day it came off showroom floor.

I find doing a good wash job is relaxing. The best part though is enjoying that freshly cleaned look.
It won't stay clean for long though, time for a drive!

You want to kick it up gloss wise without doing any extra work? Go get some DURAGLOSS AQUAWAX from autogeek......When the car is still wet, before you dry it , spray the car down, one spritz per panel, and then just dry the car normally, Result: instant sealant protection , no extra work and more gloss for months…
Question: After washing I use a synthetic shammy to dry the car is it ok to wipe the Duragloss Aquawax over the glass also as I am drying the car? Thanks

People actually think car wash soap is bad for your car? Good car wash soap is pH neutral and absolutely does not hurt your finish. Where the chance for damage comes into play is using inferior methods (single bucket, using the same wash mitt for wheels and paint) or tools (shop rags, dish soap, etc.)
Having said that, I prefer a rinseless wash when the car is not caked with bugs. It's much easier, but I don't pretend to think a traditional wash is somehow bad for the car. Blow the crevices and under hood dry with a master blaster and follow it up with a detail spray.

Fill bucket with Mcguirs car wash, rinse car with hose, use microfiber mitt to apply car wash, rinse off and dry. Always work top down. Simple and effective for me.

I'd much rather drive mine than wash it. Even in the - GASP - rain.
