Silly question at work, did you drive the Vette today?
For those of you who are still working, do you get asked if you drove your Vette today? Seems that I get asked this almost everyday from different people at work! Yes, I drove the Vette today and every day, except when I telecommute from home on Fridays! I didn't get the car so it can collect dust sitting in the garage!

I have people at work who ask "Whose Corvette is that parked out front?" I say "Mine" and get the "No way, dude" from the younger guys and the girls all just love it. So now I get that question asked on occasion, mostly by the older employees.
As the OP stated he bought it to drive, well, me too. I have 13,500 mile on it now, all of them have been trouble free and I now have new smile lines in my face from the perma grim.
I had the same TPW as Fear did and took delivery on 3/3/15...best day of the year so far!

I drove it Friday, yesterday, and again today...each time coworkers see it in the garage here they act shocked that I let it out of the garage at home! I think they get pissed I can't drive the group to lunch too

I drove mine in the rain this past Friday. Saw a friend and he looked at me like I was crazy. I said, it's a car. It isn't going to melt! I won't take it out in the snow with the summer tires for traction reasons or when there is salt/brine on the road, but those are the only exceptions.

Yes, quite often. It isn't my daily driver, so if the weather is nice, I do get the question a lot on those days. I won't drive it on rainy days. Summer months the top goes down too and from work. Now that it's Fall, it's top up going to work and down on the ride home. Being in Oklahoma, we do have a few Winter days where there are great "drive it to work" days, and occasionally it can be a ride home with the top-down trip, but not often. I hate Winters, but at least they aren't too bad here.

We have had ours for just over a month now and I have driven it twice to the office. It is my wife's car, so I am lucky that I got it twice!
I drove it to work one time, the week we got it, and now, I get that same question. "did you drive the 'vette today?" I also heard alot of "Who's car is that parked out front?"
I love it because I only drive it when our entire executive management team is out for the day. Since I am one of the first people in the office, I take the President's spot. Front and Center!!!! Pretty much every employee here has seen the car, except executives. I would hate to burst their Tesla and Land Rover bubbles. :-)
Looks like I may get to drive it again tomorrow AND Friday!!!!!!!!

I seldom drive my Corvette to work for a few reasons.
1. It is just no fun creeping along in traffic on I35W N driving into Fort Worth regardless of what I am driving.
2. My pickup has really tall tires and sits very high. Some people dart from lane to lane (for no good reason) and my truck is much easier to see and less likely to get clipped.
3. The summers here are really hot and I would prefer my car stay in the garage during extreme heat.
Weekends are a different matter though. I usually head away from Fort Worth and find some farm roads to have a little fun driving the car.

I no longer get that question as everyone at my work knows I drive it every day, rain or shine. I'm the gm for a country club and often get" who's vett is that?" And they are always surprised that it is mine. I do wedding receptions every week and often get wedding parties and brides wanting to use my car in pictures....pretty entertaining.
