2016's-What production number are you?
Just curious who is close to my build. I'm #6732
Edit: I have a Stingray sorry forgot that the Z06 would have a dup sequence. On that note i wonder if they are built side my side or if they would be built on a different days
Edit: I had a TPW of 9/14 and took delivery 9/24

Stingray and Z06 have duplicate sequence numbers (last 5 digits both start at 00001). Plus, as I understand it, the C7.R option VINs also start with 00001.

So they've already built (or soon will have) 8k Zs for MY '16?
Production of the Z is going to be much higher than the short MY '15.
Edit: My bad - I though it was Z06, but is Stingray.
Never mind. I wonder where they're at on Zs.

Guys/gals, you need to include the last 6 digits, not just the last 5. If the first of these last 6 is a 1 then it is a Stingray. If it is a 6 then it is a Z06. See my previous post about the last 5 digits repeating.

Side by side (actually, end to end). The Z06's are mixed in with the Stingrays.

I'm 106051. When I did my buyers tour on 9/11 my sequence number was #11178. I'm too lazy to do the math, but add almost four more weeks of production to that and you have an idea of how many total Corvettes they've produced.

It's surprising because 2015 total production numbers where 25,587 (not including z06). Considering we're roughly a quarter of the way into the 2016 year that would mean at this point last year they only had 6,400 cars produced. That's assuming a steady rate of production throughout the year. At this rate they'll produce 32,500~ 2016s. Imho that's too many, I'd like my super car to be at least somewhat exclusive. In comparison Ferrari will ship maybe 10k cars combined across their entire line of vehicles in a year.
I mean I don't think they should limit the number of vettes produced necessary but I kinda feel like at 35k plus cars being produced in a single year they are flooding the streets with this car effectively lowering it's perceived value and certainly lowering it's resale.

You can't compare non-Z06 this year vs last year because Z06 production did not start for several months after the 2015 MY began. So, Stingray production was NOT at a steady rate throughout the year. You need to look at total units produced (Stingray plus Z06). 2015 was also about 6 weeks less that a full calendar year of production.

Yes, at this point they would have had more Stingrays produced since they were not producing Z06's. Once Z06 production ramped up, Stingray production dropped. So, your 6400 estimate is low. Total production will be around 38K units assuming a full production year. 37,288 for MY 2014, 34,240 for MY 2015 (a shortened production year).
Number could be lower if they reduce overtime which has been steady for a long time.

Is it confirmed you'll have it in two weeks, or that's your best guess? I really hope mine doesn't take 5 weeks to get here. It does make me laugh at all these people with my tpw (10/5) insisting they are going to have their car by Halloween in Oregon and California.
Are you in the nw or sw?
