Chevy really stepping it up. Impressive for 37k.

Guess the ball is in Ford's court now. Can't wait to see what these GT350R's do at the track (road course)

The v8 version has the same 6.2L LT1 engine as the vette, so I would expect as much

It is still a Camaro, not really in the same class as a Corvette.

It's a pretty ugly car looks like a souped up Malibu. Honestly on looks alone the Mustang looks much better.

The new Camaro is an amazing value right from what the reviews. Its no surprise its a great handling car based of the ATS chassis. Being lightweight, nimble and with 455HP, its way more sports coupe than muscle car. Good job team Camaro.

Could care less even if the Camaro had 1,000 HP!! Not the same class of car. Wrong Forum and wrong comparison....that's a Mustang and Challenger problem!

Indeed! Be excited to see what this thing does at VIR etc.

And here I thought we could have a nice automotive performance car discussion in here.

Stuff like this is good for the whole industry. Besides should be a nice step up in aftermarket support with the Camaro now on the same engine platform.

Relax guys - not taking anything away from our decision to purchase corvettes. Lots of jimmies being rustled in here.

Default Horsepower wars are happening factory direct....etc and that's great for all of us

OOH THE HORSEPOWER WARS ARE ON AND CHEVY AINT BACKING DOWN!!!!!!
This just tells me the 2017 C7 will be 500-525 HP would be my guess and the Z06 should they get the overheating issues fixed go to 675HP or more.

And I am MOPAR owner with the SRTs and Hellcat on order. Knowing full well the HELLCAT will have the ZL1 at its door. And yeah I know it's the Vette forum as well. It nice to share information for all. So hope all can enjoy the posts of each other opinions and views.

Just can't understand why Ford is not releasing any performance numbers on the GT350. Do they have something to hide? Or are they playing cat and mouse with Camaro,to force them to release first so they can trump!
Inquiring minds want to know.

Ford has done a good job building a frenzy over the GT 350; excellent marketing.

Being a Former 2013 ZL1 owner with some mods (about 630 HP and 600 ft/lbs TQ) the Vette and the Camaro are both excellent, but the Vette is in a different league. I found that out at Ron Fellows school, esp. when taking the drive with the pro.

I can't agree with the the excellent marketing? Try to go buy one and I am not so much a Ford Mustang guy but did inquire at some local Ford dealers and they told me you can't get it. Low production numbers and a select few will be so privelaged to get one.

I'll pass on the Ford Marketing since I hope I am wrong but should you be lucky to be special to get one. And no personal attack on your posting. And let me know if I am wrong because I love horsepower and cars and will buy one for the MSRP IF YOU CAN TELL ME WHERE AND THE DEALERSHIP NAME.

My friend's 2016 Camaro 2SS is built, just waiting to be shipped! I'm excited to experience it and compare/contrast vs. the C7.

I agree 100 %, gotta keep them pesky fords at bay. Am presently right up a 2013 GT 500 butt. Both of us stock on oe rubber, we are only a tenth apart in the 1/4. My car a base C7 manual with NPP. 662 hp versus 460 hp I love it.
