Default Stingray J55/J56 Performance Brake Upgrade Kits

Stingray J55/J56 Performance Brake Upgrade Kits are now available from GM!!!

C7 Stingray Brake Kits

Chevrolet Performance announces the launch of the C7 Corvette Stingray Front and Rear Brake Kits to the Chevrolet Performance Parts Program. Upgrade base C7 Stingray to Z51 specs with the J55 kit

Developed by Chevrolet Performance engineers, this performance Front and Rear Brake kit has been designed with C7 Corvette Stingray customers in mind.

C7 Stingray Brake Kits

For the J56 brakes these are for Z51 vehicles only. Part warranty only.

"Upgrade your C7 Stingray Z51 to Z06 specs with this kit featuring two-piece iron slotted rotors, 370 x 34 mm front and 365 x 26 mm rear, with aluminum mono-block six-piston and four-piston fixed calipers, respectively. The front calipers feature vented pistons for improved brake pad and brake fluid cooling. These calipers offer differentiated piston diameters of 30, 34, and 38 mm (leading to trailing) to provide more even pressure for improved pad wear. Note: These brakes will not fit under Z51 wheels. A minimum of 4mm clearance is required between the outboard face of the caliper and the inner wheel spoke."

For the J55 brakes, it is for base (non-Z51) Corvette only. Part warranty only. It is recommended that buyers also purchase the Z06 grille and front brake cooling ducts.

"Upgrade your base C7 Stingray to Z51 specs with this kit featuring slotted rotors measuring 345 mm front and 338 mm rear. (Base Stingray is 321 mm front.) When installed with the Z51 brake cooling kit, this system will match the braking performance of the Z51 system."

Z51 - J55 18" Brake Kit (Front):

-Z51 J55 Brake Upgrade Kit, with Front Calipers only. slotted Rotors and HP pads.
-18" 4-piston Base Car only - Highly recommended to purchase brake ducts and accessory Z06 grille

How big of a spacer do you need to run the Z51 wheels with the J56 kit?

This is all the information I have, but I'll see if I can find out what sort of spacer would make this kit work with the Z51 wheels for you.

This brake kit is built for Stingray with Z51, so I don't believe it will bolt up to non-Z51 cars,
The kit contains what is pictured here

You can upgrade if your wheels clear the larger brakes. The hub is the same on all C7s, the calipers just have larger mounting tabs to accommodate the larger rotors. A good write up on the upgrade is here: https://motoiq.com/project-c7-corvet...e-upgrade-kit/
