I did a quick search on this and didn't find my answer.

A few years back I bought a used C6 that had the oil drain plug head rounded off. I eventually got it off and replaced it with a magnetic type plug that had a 15mm head instead of the OEM 13mm (at least I think those were the sizes!). I plan to replace the plug on my C7 with the same type at the first oil change.

Looking around, one vendor listed the plug as M12 thread and 1.75” long. AutoZone has one with those dimensions but says it doesn’t fit a C7. Can anyone shed some light on this? I want to have the right plug available when the oil comes out.

C7 is 15mm.

thanks. But do you mean 15mm thread or 15mm head (wrench size)?

Wrench size is 15mm should be the same size plug as c5 or c6.
