I still remember McBee's in New Braunfels, and haven't been to these two in many years: Otto's and Goode and Co. in Houston. Wish I'd gone.... County Line is really good in Austin imo.

Yeah, Otto's was excellent, but it moved or closed a few years back. There's a strip center there now.

[QUOTE=USe-car;1590952159]Here's a picture of a local BBQ joint where we went for lunch today. Kreutz Market in Lockhart, Texas. It's one of my favorites, especially the sausage. I will post pictures of the others as we go.

Looks good, real good, I bet that BBQ is delish---I'd like to go there---IN YOUR CAR!!

Really liked that dusty old parking lot. Yes, I did a google on them and they're mostly off the downtown area now. Oh well, progress I guess.

Opie's in Spicewood on Rt 71 between Austin and Marble Falls is my choice. Get the cheesy tater tot casserole, peach cobbler, and beans. All the meats are tasty.

This place serves up some great BBQ. They use a rub that is very heavy on pepper. I think it's 1 part salt and 9 parts pepper. The result is a delicious bark on your brisket. One of my favorite places.
