Default Trade '08 Z06 LT2 for 2015 Z51 LT2. Hurry-looking tomorrow!

Hey everyone. Don't get on here much but been around for a while. I love my Jetstream Blue Z06. Dream Car. But I made the mistake of sitting in a 2016 LT2 and checked out the systems and I'm interested. My 08 just turned 48K miles. No major problems run great. But where I live can't enjoy the power and stick anymore. Let's just say all the all the cars with blue lights no my car! So I found a 15 Z51 with upgraded sound and security system. Not sure what that means. It's gray with the add on effects package meaning I guess the black hood insert. I'm impressed with what GM has done. Adjustable suspension is something I've always wanted. Its an AUTOMATIC! Will I be happy with this car. Mine is paid off. I will probably be paying around 30k plus trade. Appreciate your input. I love Vettes. This would be my sixth one. Haven't driven one yet but been watching vids on YouTube. I love the look in and out plus all the options. Will be losing power, not much but like I said can't use it. Thanks.

Only you can decide if you would be happy with the C7 or not. Take it for a thorough test drive and see what you think.

I see no reason why you would not be satisfied with moving into a C7. But the power is still there so those blue lights will soon know you again. Not sure how you will like the automatic coming from a stick.
Good luck with your decision.

Thanks for your input. That's the big decision is stick vs auto. My last two were sticks then the one before them was a C5 Auto which I did enjoy. I think this is a huge up grade overall and will be happy with either. Wish I could have both!

It seens as though the 2014 has a better history. Just putting out some additional info I came across in CR.

Drive it and you will be able to tell everyone that it is an amazing car and in no way compares to the C-6.

Thanks all for the replays. Except the one with the problems ! Just kidding. I went and looked. Drove it. Own it! Pick it up Friday! Can't wait. Will miss my Z06 but can't have it all. At least not yet. The car is absolutely beautiful looking at in person. Fits like a glove seating and the transmission was exactly as I had hopped. When I got on it, it went and shifted like 4 times in 2 seconds. The exhaust is very nice. I really like the they way they tied the exhaust Grow to the performance settings. The steering is very tight and perfect for each setting. The interior is a huge leap from my 2008. The exterior lighting is very impressive. Yep I will miss my 427 but I think I'm in love again! Never thought that would happen. I can still smell it. Again thanks to all fellow members for your input.

You also won't miss the mystery of when one of the exhaust valves stops your LS7 either.
