You also need to order the Finish Panel part. This part covers the handle and makes the Upper Molding continue and look way better. I replaced mine with grey pieces. I don't have the red part #.

www.gmpartsdirect.com a CF vendor. They will not be undersold, and will price match any other seller. They are the parts division of Flow Auto Group a major dealer of GM cars out of Winston-Salem, N.C.

I could be mistaken but I believe it's been posted here that the only way to get the color on the door panels is to replace the entire panels. If that's the case, it certainly wouldn't be cheap.

Some good suggestions here - shop around and get your best deal.

Is it possible to have the parts tinted (sprayed) in order to change the color? I understand that this is not satisfactory for seats but it might be good for fixed parts.

Like the OP, I've been thinking of picking and choosing some of the 3LT red interior parts for my black interior. Just how difficult was putting in those pieces? Was it a simple snap out/snap in job? Or were you taking out 15 pieces?

I used an auto upholstery shop to install the Upper molding and Finish panel. If you have interior trim tools you could probably do these parts yourself. The Upper molding snaps out and the Finish panel, you have two screws to remove it. When you receive the new parts you can tell how they are attached. The upholstery shop did not want to install the Trim pad, so I had the dealer install it. I know you have to remove the glove box first before you install the Trim pad. I did install the Console Side Panel, it took about 5 min. For most of my projects, what can go wrong will go wrong! Good Luck.
