Default Transparent Top Cleaning & Care

What do you do when it comes to cleaning & caring for your transparent top?

Is it OK to wax it?

I use Plexus spray cleaner. Cleans and seals, works great.

Used by many motorcyclists and the aviation industry since Moses carved the tablets ............. In fact, he may have even used it on the specs he borrowed from Ben Franklin to do the deed ...........

But do NOT use alcohol-based solvents like window cleaners. I did on my '95 and the layers separated.

Do not let rain spots set in. A good carnauba wax after cleaning is a plus.

I use Liquid Glass Polish on the paint, the plastic headlight and tail light lenses, the windows (except the windshield), and the transparent top. Cleans, shines, protects better than anything else I have used.

I use car wash soap and water and then finish with a wipe down using Adam's Polishes glass cleaner.

I rain-exed my C6 top, and then just used regular car soap (like Zaino Z-7) to wash it from time to time.

It was the alcohol-based Rain-X that caused the layers on the transparent roof on my C4 to separate. Warranty covered it. Then I saw the specific warning about alcohol in the manual.

For the C7 they say

"Do not spray glass cleaner directly on the transparent roof
panel. Use a soft, lint-free cloth dampened with glass cleaner"

Maybe they've improved the materials by now.
