C7 or 427 C6
Hey Vette guys and gals,
I just sold my 2008 C6 4lt convertible. I am looking for a new Vette.
I am torn between a 2013 427 convertible and 2014 C7 3lt, Z51 convertible.... opinions?!?!?
Thx

Well, since this is the C7 forum, I expect most will say go with the C7. The C7 is a fantastic car!

If you place the highest priority on straight line acceleration, the C6 427 may be your choice.
If you want a better car all around with a better interior, better seats, superior handling, modern styling, Up to dated technology then the C7 should be your choice.

If you're not in the mood to rebuild the heads on the 427 (which doesn't cost a great deal, but does have a hassle factor of just having to do it), then get the C7.
If you're ready to rebuild the heads and like the older wide body style - go for the 427. Having owned the prior Z with that engine, I can tell you neither engine in the current vette sounds as glorious as the the LS7.
Either one would be a blast. Good luck with the decision.

I traded in my 427 vert in August for a C7 and glade I did overall. There is some things I do miss from the 427. Raw power from the 427 NA was remarkable. IMO I really liked the looks of the C6 a little better. When you go to the C7 you move into a whole new driving experience. Better ride,up to date technology, much better interior. I do sometimes miss the C6 for the fun of the ride but I have absolutely no remorse upgrading. Drive them both make your own decision.

Would be a tough choice. There is just something about having a 427 under the hood though.

I really like the look of the 427 verts. That being said I drove a '12 C6 the other day and I dont think I could go back to the C6 interior after owning a couple C7s.
Really depends what YOU want, since you are paying for it
