Dual tops

Dual tops
I have one question: I just picked up my 2016 corvette, with the dual top option. The second top "clear" top is set in a holder in the truck. My question, should I have received a bag to hold the second top? The dealer didn't know. When I owned a C6 with two tops I received a leather sack to hold the second top. Please advise. Thanks

Nope! My second roof was put into the trunk... I bought from the subchev forum sponsor and paid around $100

No, it doesn't come with one. GM has one with a c7 logo on it you can buy.

I've always thought of the lack of a storage bag for the second top was a bit cheap of Chevy. I ordered the 2-top option in my C5 and it also came with the second top in the rear but no storage bag. My 1990 300ZX came with storage bags for the T-tops. IIRC, my 1986 Trans Am did as well. I think those two were mandatory as you needed to protect them somehow if you pulled them off when away from home and stored them in the hatch. Still, with this class of car, you'd think .. .

Just a Heads Up for anyone storing the roof in the bag and then hanging it by the Bag handle on a wall.
There's an extra square piece of leather sewn onto each side of the bag for re-enforcement where the back latch of the roof will hit when in the bag.
I had my Painted top hanging in the bag, by the handle, for the 6 years I owned my C6 before I traded it in.
When I pulled the top out of the bag to put it in the back hatch, I noticed the threads/stitching around the edges of the extra piece of leather had made "impressions" "into the Paint" on the top.
This happened because the weight of the roof pressed against the stitches of the re-enforced part of the bag all that time
Now with my C7 painted top, I still put it in the bag, but leave the top of the Bag open and hang the top by 2 hooks on the wall that hook under the 2 front latches of the roof.
This way the top is loose in the bag and not pressing against the Stitches of the re-enforced piece of leather.
If you search info on one of those Metal Frame Top Hangers, it's designed to hang the top from the 2 front latches.
