Default Blackout tail lights overlays difference?

So why is the GS Blackout lens overlays 379$ oppose to corvettemods blackout lens overlays for 75$? Are there a difference? Have anyone tried the ones from corvettemods? Im talking about the 4 pc that you stick into each tail light.

Much appericiated

The GS are molded plastic that match the existing lens. The corvette mods pieces are flat that go across each lens. With the GS covers because they're molded, you still get all the detail of the light. The other one hides it.

So pretty much one can still be seen while the other one is completely black? Which would you reccommend? Also when the car is on how visible is the brake lights with the corvette mod overlays?

I have the GS overlays, not the corvette mods, so I'm just basing everything off what I've seen in pictures for the cm ones. With the GS, they are three dimensional in that you can still see the detail of the light because they are form fitting. You don't get that with the corvette mods. The GS show light through them fine, they look darker in pictures than they actually are. I'm sure the corvette mods show light as well, those brake light led's are bright.

It's up to you on what you think is worth it. I bought my GS lenses when they were $100 less, then they raised their prices. I like them because they're molded. Short of spray tint, you're not going to get a better looking tint lens than the GS ones.

Yeah i hear many good reviews of the gs lens but almost 400 bucks for plastic is a little too steep

The Gs ones Do NOT replace anything, they fit over the stock lights with clear vhb tape. I have had two sets, helping GS design them.

I got a smokin deal on some z06 tail lights so I took them off. I was ready to install the z lights then I got lazy and now I'm not 100% if I'm gonna put them on. I'll put the lenses on tomorrow and take some pics so you can see it vs. just the red.

If you really want smoked tail lights, you either bite the bullet and get these, or you spray tint. In my opinion the rest of them look like crap.

They need to design a better price point lol. They would explode their sales if these were half the price they are currently. I know you've mentioned that to them in the past already though..

Here are a few shots with just one of the lenses propped on. It's a pretty dramatic difference. I still think if you want this look, bite the bullet and get the GS lenses. They're nice because they are easily reversed if you want to.

That is a far more reasonable price.
