OEM for sure....as good as it gets, zero problems, not overpriced at all (It's a Chevy!). I change mine automatically every 6 months. Why risk a 70K car with lousy vision at night in the rain, just to save a few bucks a year? That's lunacy!

Where I live they rot in the heat before they wear out actually cleaning the windshield.
Every year+ I have the dealer replace them when car is in for normal service. Don't know if OEM or not. Never use them enough to form an opinion.

Yes, they will dry out in time. Get brittle and not work properly, causing streaks and smears the mud on the windshield. Of course the worse streak will be in the drivers view...Murphy's Law. I do mine once a year on my 3 cars.

Years ago, I bought a set of silicone, single edge wiper blades. They worked very well and lasted a long time. Probably too long for the manufacturers's liking because I never saw them for sale again. Their durability was significantly better than traditional rubber blades, IME.
Anyway, seems like the OE blades work quite well. I'll likely replace with the same. I haven't tried a ton of aftermarket blades, but those I have really haven't worked any better or lasted longer than good OE blades.

This is my first GM car, so I can't comment on the OEM wiper blades, but I used Michelin's on a couple of other cars and they worked much better than the OEM ones, even new OEM ones. (Once had a dealer take off my almost new Michelins and replace them with OEM wipers, unasked for. The brand new ones were worse than the slightly used Michelins. I was not a happy camper.)

I like Bosch Icons. Rain X comes in a close second. Both are very low profile blades.

IMO, hard to beat the performance and value of the OEM blades. At least I have had good luck with them.

Haven't used OEMs on my Vettes yet but when I had my 08 Malibu I found a windshield wiper comparison test which rated the Valeo's as the best performing wipers. Then I found out the Bu wipers were made by Valeo. Got my Corvette Club discount at the local dealer and had a brand new set of Valeo's for half of what a set of Bosch Icons had cost me before.
Planning on doing the same for the new Vette when it is time for new blades.
