Onstar Renewal
My 3 months are up so what can I expect to pay. Is it negotiable like XM radio. Give me any help you can because I have no idea what to expect.

Last summer they were running a special on their best plan, the Connections Plan, $269 for 14 months. The taxes on the phone minutes and everything else will run the total to around $299. So for all you get with that package it averages out to about $21 a month.

Just received my renewal notice - initial subscription expires 20 Feb. Cost is $29.94 for 6 months, plus fees and taxes. Not bad, however I rarely listen to the radio, so I believe I'll pass.

You are talking about Sirius/XM radio service, the OP is talking about On Star service.

Did not renew the OnStar on my DD. But contact them and say you are going to cancel and see what they say. If it is not a reasonable price, then say thanks and good bye. They'll send you something in the mail asking you to come back.

I was able to renew for 129 for the year. They were also offering 149 per year around Christmas. I may have received the extra discount since I have 2 cars with On Star. I don't really need it in my C7 as I don't put a ton of miles on but I want it on the cars my family drives. Even our Subaru has a similar system but its less expensive. It does not have the extra bells an whistles but I don't care about those.

No way relatively cheap. Go to the website and check it out. I only have the app ability now and its all I need. As for data, way to expensive and pretty much not flexible, no roll over etc.

I just renewed my SiriusXM for 12 months at a price of $10.06/month as I like in particular the dedicated channels to the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s music, otherwise I am a conservative talk-radio junkie.
I probably would not be interested in OnStar but for this car (2015 Z07) it for me is a must just for the Security option which if stolen
allows OnStar to track the car while providing that info to the police, also to remotely slow the engine down when police locate it to
prevent a high-speed chase, and if it is parked to prevent it from being started. SO! I just renewed my OnStar with only the SOS and Security programs for 12-months at $22.50/month. It also comes with an "app" that allows you to essentially have a third "fob" on your iPhone that has a "Map-Location Service" which allows one to track their car themselves 24hrs. a day. I have no use for and did not get
the Wi-Fi hotspot, the navigation and hands-free calling since they are redundant to the cars built in navigation and hands-free calling
(as long as your cellphone is plugged into the car with Bluetooth turned on). There's also the GPS on your phone that can be used as a back-up to the car's. And since no GPS is 100% fool proof all the time and any where, anyone that doesn't have a map book in his car
for backup is being foolish.

I got an offer from Sirius, a 3-year contract was twice the money I paid for my lifetime subscription I got years ago for my player.
