The option(s) you SHOULD have gotten

Thanks for the various thanks. There was never any serious need to defend me, but the thoughts are nevertheless appreciated. It was all tongue in cheek from my end, and I certainly don’t want to hijack the thread into a grammar debate. Also thanks to LIE2ME for correcting the title, and don’t hassle Mikey82 very much. He just made the very minor mistake of taking some jest a bit more seriously than I intended.
Must admit that I didn’t catch the Mr. Proctor DHS reference in post #52. I suppose it must be from a TV show or movie that I didn’t see. My guy wasn’t boring, he just made us do lots of thing I thought (and still think) were pointless, like memorizing poetry and doing art projects to illustrate great works of literature.

No Regrets, got the NNP exhaust which I should have gotten on my C6.You learn as you go trying to save a couple bucks isn't always worth it.
What I am pleased about is that I didn't get a Z51 because who needs .. More Brake dust, lower profile tires that wear out quicker, ride harder and cost more. But if you get magnet ride it's all resolved. Now 99.9 % of these Z51 club members never even track their cars. Take the 4-8 grand in cost and take your significant other on a nice vacation, It's money better spent.

Well, I bought a BARELY used (137 miles on the clock) Certified Preowned 2LT Z51 car that was Silver had Chrome Wheels and a Black Interior, no nav and had the standard dash. I bought this car as opposed to building my own to afford the Callaway package and that is just fine by me.
THAT SAID, I had a Nav, Carbon Dash and flat bottom steering wheel installed after the conversion.
If I had built the car from scratch, it would've been 3LT white Z51 with black wheels, nav, carbon dash, carbon roof, flat bottom steering wheel and a red interior with two-tone seats. Plus, I would've still sent it to Callaway.
Alas, I'm slowly but surely amassing the GM parts I need to get it as close to my original vision as possible. All told, the way I did it saved me about $15,000 and got me an extra 7 months of bumper to bumper warranty, but for the parts I'm buying to get it close to what I had in my head when the C7 originally came out, it probably won't save me a dime in the end.
It may be backwards, but at least I have an SC627. Plus, I do like silver cars. I had a Silver '07 Z51 Convertible and my BMW 435i DD is silver, too. I just want black wheels and the carbon roof. Also, I'll probably get the two-tone seats and call it a day, too.

Same here.
First was pretty much a loaded 2014 2LT Z51 in White. Second is a identically optioned 2LZ in Blade Silver with the Z07 package added
The only real option I passed on was the 3LT/LZ as I wasn't interested and just bought NAV stand alone.

Competition seats would have been nice, but it wasn't a deal breaker. I knew third party vendors would eventually sell the seats at a lower cost anyways.

The transparent roof panel isn't something I'd want. The loading-up of carbon fiber this, that, and the other - I don't think hits me right. Maybe, the dash in CF, but not much else.
Regards colors? Having seen the SG in-person, I think I prefer the CG.

[QUOTE=LDB;1591463733]I’m sorry in advance. This will almost certainly be viewed by most as an ****-retentive comment. But “should have got”??????? Back in high school fifty-something years ago, I hated my ****-retentive English teacher who made us memorize such timeless schlock as “Whan that Aprille with his shoures soote, the droghte of Marche hath perced to the roote….” (no kidding, that’s the correctly spelled first two lines to Canterbury Tales). But I at least should give him credit for learnin’ me that “should have got” ain’t no way for cultured folk to talk.
Actually, I'm not a Vette owner any more (previously had a C4, C5, and C6) so I can't comment on your exact question. But for my current car, 2010 CTSV coupe, I wish I'd waited a year for blind spot detection to be available. Visibility to the right rear in my car is seriously bad. Otherwise, it's a great ride. Obvious Vette heritage in drive train, and vastly more friendly for later years.
You misspelt "spelled"!!!!
