Yes, yes, yes!!!!!!!!
First, '15 TR Z51 convertible. I LOVE this car but since day 1 I cringe a little bit EVERY TIME the ACM kicks in and the NPP baffles activate. The resulting silence is, well, SILENT and it just sucks.
I've been following and reading what others are doing about this because I know I'm not the only one who wants my 'Vette to sound like one, ALL THE TIME.
Finally had enough. I ordered the RANGE AFM disabler, pulled fuse #42, fired it up then went for THE test drive.
YES YES YES!!!!! My Stingray finally sounds like a 'Vette, ALL THE TIME.
No more cringing, no more silence. I'd write more right now, but I'm going out for another drive, just to hear it ROAR!!!!!!!

OK, I don't get what the problem is with NPP. I've got a 14', Z51, M-7 with NPP. When I put it in Touring, the exhaust is quiet, I can hear the radio just fine. When I put it in "Sport", the exhaust opens up and pops and gurgles. I thought it was turning off at higher speeds, but just today when I nailed it from a 50 roll, it was wide open. So when does the NPP turn off when in Sport mode, or does it stay open all the time?

He may have an automatic, which will cycle into/out of AFM in any drive mode - and that'll quiet things down.

It is automatic
It is an A8. As I said I LOVE my car. I just wanted to make it sound like a 'Vette, and didn't want to mess with new exhaust. I'm really happy with the sound now, and it was a very low cost ($200) fix.

It prevents the car from going into 4 cylinder mode if you have an automatic. Fyi, I have one for sale, I got a tune that does the same thing and no longer need it. Pm if you are interested

Range technology
As I said in my initial post, just pulling fuse #42, then installed the Range Technology unit.
RangeTechnology.com is the website. It shuts down the AFM (Active fuel management) resulting in full time V8 operation. Not sure about the warranty issue but it takes about 1 second to either install or take out.
Didn't consider a new exhaust because the factory sound is just fine.
