Default Dreaming with RideCache – Use Wish Lists to Research and Plan Your Work

In a prior thread, we showed you how you can user RideCache to organize and manage all of the things you need to do to your vehicle – and how you can build your car’s history as you complete those to-dos. But what about the dozen things that we dream of doing – the upgrades or modifications that are on our “wish list” for our vehicles? We have all spent a few hours on a rainy Saturday browsing our favorite websites researching how to do that disc brake conversion or drop in that sweet crate motor, only to come back a few months later and not be able to find those notes or links and having to start all over.

With RideCache, you simply enter a “wish list” task with as much information as you have – add pictures, descriptions and notes with URL’s to forum threads, etc. - then build on that as you learn more. You can also add the parts you need with a status of “wanted” with costs and links to possible suppliers. Then when you finally have both the time and money to pull the trigger you have all the information you need to move quickly right at your fingertips. With a few clicks, you can move the task from "wish" to "to-do" and eventually to “completed” and you have built a nice permanent record of your upgrade in RideCache.

Here is an example of a wish list item in RideCache (note that the "note" is private, while other items are kept public).

If you missed our introduction post and want to know more about RideCache, you can find it here: RideCache Introduction. You can also find links to a few nice video demos in our signature.

And remember, you can use RideCache for free with one car, then when you are ready to upgrade to a higher level (manage more cars, get more features), use the CORVETTEFORUM50 code (make sure to type all upper case!) for a 50% discount off a first year subscription - that is only $10 for your first year of Basic Level (2 cars) and $25 for Enthusiast Level (8 cars) - less than the cost of an oil change!
