That's a good point....have you found a single place in SD that sells 93? Seems like 91 is the max.
For what we pay, it should be 101 octane!!!

Usually get BP/Amoco, but tank was really low and Sunoco was closer.

1.64 for their 93, Southeast VA.

I don't have any local stations with 93 so I have to settle for 91. I will be stopping to fill up at Costco on my way home and I can't wait to see how cheap this tank will be! My last Costco fill up about 2 weeks ago was $2.05 for 91 which may be the reason I was not very nice to my last tank

The tax was $10 per barrel, or about $0.25 per gallon. Big, surely, but not gigantic.

I am mixed on it, clearly, the world could do some good with more 'green' tech. Though, the entire earth runs on OIL and a price increase can do economic damage in a lot of ways.

I have read somewhere that less than 50% of oil is used for transportation fuels, so even if we all start driving golf carts we'll still need most of what we produce.

The problem with going "green" is that it is almost invariably is more expensive than existing technology. If you are the only country following this path you put yourself at a severe cost disadvantage. Brazil put its' economy in a bad position for a very long time by trying to switch to bio fuels. With oil prices being relatively low (it's still about twice the price in non-inflationary adjusted dollars as when OPEC came into existence if I remember correctly), it would be cost prohibitive to switch now.

I'm OK with the tax if it's dedicated primarily to infrastructure construction & repairs (highways, bridges, etc).
This work needs to be done, and it needs to be paid for. Fuel tax is still the best way to fund it.

Especially now with low oil prices...

Everywhere except California.In Virginia it's $1.49
Ask the average person in this state if they would like to live in California
And I'm guessing A large majority would say no.

Never thought I would see that again.
I lived there at a time also. Still have kids living there.

Gas is about 5 or 6 cents a gallon more here. But the temps are in the mid 80's! I'll take that instead.

Very nice area you live in.

Yeah, I don't mind paying extra for gas when it's sunny and 80 degrees in February.
What is snow???
